Rollup handicap system

Whilst Club competitions and qualifying events use the World Handicap System (WHS) to calculate & adjust handicaps. The rollup uses a combination of the Original CONGU system & formulated adjustments to ensure faster movement of HCs.

The adjustments are calculated initially using a course standard scratch setting & buffer zones for your HC Category**. I don't want to go into too much detail here (as it is a little complicated), but if you score below approx 34 pts (depending on course & tees used) you will receive a .4 increase in HC*
If you score 38 pts or above you will receive a cut in your HC.

If you achieve 1st place in a either division you will receive a 2 shot cut plus any adjustments for scores over 38
If you manage 2nd place in either division you will receive a 1 shot cut plus any other adjustments.

* If, on the odd occasion, (especially in winter months) you win a prize with a score that is low enough to increase your HC, any .4 increase will be removed along with other adjustments.

On occasion, a player may play in the rollup, but then doesn't play for a number of months. During this time, if your WHS handicap changes significantly, up or down, the rollup admin may make adjustments to re- align your rollup HC to ensure you are playing to your current ability.
